Minister Bayraktar spoke at the "Türkiye Without Terrorism is Possible with Women" program in Şırnak.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said, "We will increase our production in Gabar with new discoveries. As Gabar grows, an oil industry will emerge here, along with the oil pipeline passing through. This will also create employment, new job opportunities, and industry in this region."

Coming to the city for contacts, Bayraktar met with the families of martyrs in the Şırnak University July 15 Congress and Culture Center Hall Foyer Area and listened to their demands.

Later, Bayraktar, who attended the "Türkiye Without Terrorism is Possible with Women" program held in the hall, was welcomed by women in traditional attire accompanied by the zılgıt and erbane.

In his speech here, Minister Bayraktar expressed his pleasure at being in the city, saying that they were carrying out a work for people and that it was impossible to imagine a life without energy.

Bayraktar, explaining that they produced oil in Gabar Mountain and natural gas in the Black Sea, and that they wanted to produce oil and natural gas in the country, said:

"While we are injecting natural gas from the depths of the Black Sea and oil from Gabar into our economy, producing, transmitting, and distributing energy, wherever you look, our closest colleagues, our women workers, engineers, and technicians, are the ones who contribute most to these projects. That's why women are at the center of energy. A tremendous amount of work is being done. We're extracting that oil from a depth of 3,000-4,000 meters and we're starting to use it. Such a tremendous effort is being put into it. We're reaching the seabed at a depth of 2,100 meters in the Black Sea. From there, we've continued drilling, extracting that natural gas from thousands of meters below, and today, we're providing that natural gas to 4 million homes. While all this work is being done, what are some people saying? The opposition is saying, 'There's no gas there, there's no oil in Gabar.'" Isn't that what they're saying? We're explaining, we're showing. We brought our members of parliament on May 19th. There were opposition members among them. We said, "Come, see with your own eyes, hold your hands, see how this oil is produced." But we need you, our women, for this reason. You are the ones who can best explain this to your community, your neighbors, and present the work here. We have brothers and sisters from many families working in those mountains. 3,558 of our friends are currently working in the mountains. Approximately 2,800 of them are from this region.

Bayraktar, stating that they have now started using natural gas in 81 provinces, 228 organized industrial zones, and over 900 settlements in Türkiye, stated that natural gas is also available in Şırnak and that they will bring natural gas to districts where it is not available as soon as possible.

“Their politics is based on lies and slander.”

Bayraktar stated that they will work day and night until Türkiye becomes energy independent under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the Turkish Century, and emphasized that they have seen this in Gabar, in the depths of the Black Sea, and that they will almost search for the oil, minerals and natural gas in the country, find them, make them available to the nation and add them to the national economy.

Bayraktar stated that a Türkiye that produces its own oil and natural gas will become a much greater, more independent and powerful country, with a louder voice in the region and the world, and pointed out that for him, the struggles are actually a struggle for national security and survival.

Bayraktar continued his speech as follows:

That's why you've supported this struggle until now. They've supported our President by voting for him in every election, by showing their support, and that's why we're doing this. If he can do this, only the AK Party can. Because you're hearing it now. No, there was no oil or natural gas here. It's all being revealed as lies because their politics are based on lies and slander. Now, something has come to light recently; I don't know if you've heard. In Beylikova and Eskişehir, we're carrying out one of the most important projects for our country's future. There's something called rare earth elements. They weren't even aware of it. But when we discovered it and our President shared this great news with our nation, we started working. We drilled thousands of meters there, and a significant mineral that will truly change the fate of our country was found. Now they're saying, 'Sir, they're neglecting these matters. They're not operating these mines. They're going to give these mines to this country. They're going to give them to this country.' Look, neither do they understand, nor are they sincere about their actions. They're exploiting this just as they try to exploit everything else. Now, I'll reveal this document today. The main opposition has failed again. Why? Because they fabricated such a lie that we were neglecting this work. Look, when this discovery was made in 2020-2021, we began work to build a facility there, first as a pilot facility, and then as a large industrial facility. When we applied for permits for this, what was needed was an environmental impact assessment (EIA) document. Do you know who opposed obtaining this document, the establishment of this facility? The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, from the Republican People's Party, opposed it. They were the first to oppose it. So, on the one hand, they're telling us, "They won't do anything about this." Well, while we wanted to build a facility here in 2020-2021, you opposed the construction of one. If that wasn't enough, do you know what they did? They filed an application with the Eskişehir Administrative Court to annul the document issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. In other words, they fought to prevent that facility from being there. Now they've come out and said, "You're neglecting this issue, sir." You're going to give these lands to foreigners. Everything they say is a lie, and unfortunately, everything they say is slander. Yes, we will work, but we must explain both what we've done and their lies and inform our people accurately. We will add our own mines in Eskişehir to our economy as quickly and effectively as possible.

“We have made the biggest oil discovery in the history of the Republic of Türkiye.”

Bayraktar stated, "We will increase our production in Gabar with new discoveries. As Gabar grows, the oil pipeline passing through it will create an oil industry here. Hopefully, Gabar, and Şırnak in general, will bring its mineral resources into the economy. This will also create employment in the region. New job opportunities and industry will emerge in this region, and Şırnak's economy will grow even further." He added that Şırnak will become a province of immigration, not emigration.

Addressing the process of a terror-free Türkiye, Bayraktar concluded his speech as follows:

"A Terror-Free Turkey is the most important project of the Republic of Turkey. We actually saw what a Terror-Free Türkiye is in Şırnak, in Gabar. Look, this oil has been buried under these soil for millions of years. It was buried under these mountains. We arrived in September 2021, and suddenly, oil didn't appear here, but there was terror, blood, rockets, tears, death, fear, and despair. Only when those things ended, this region was cleansed of terror. We came here, drilled, and in September 2021, we made the largest oil discovery in the history of the Republic of Turkey. So, with a Terror-Free Turkey, that oil, that wealth comes from Gabar, from the soil, from beneath the mountains. When we spread this to all of Türkiye and the entire region, God willing, just like the success we saw in Gabar, that small slice, God willing, the future of Türkiye and the entire region, the future of our people, our nation, will be much brighter. That's why a Terror-Free Turkey is very important, something we must cherish and take very seriously. A Terror-Free Türkiye can only be achieved with you, with women. "it is possible."

“Let the voice of brotherhood that continues in these lands echo from the summit of Cudi.”

Tuğba Işık Ercan, Head of the AK Party Headquarters Women's Branch, said that throughout the AK Party's governments, under the leadership of President Erdoğan, the power and role of women in all sectors, from public to politics, from education to business life, has been strengthened day by day, and this has become visible in all segments of society.

Ercan pointed out that women's traces and labor can be seen everywhere in the country today, in factories, schools, municipalities, fields, and engineering offices, and that wherever a woman touches, there is the voice of justice, production, abundance, and peace.

Stating that these achievements were not a coincidence, Ercan said:

It is the product of strong leadership, consistent policies, and your determination. Never forgetting our martyrs, we launched the Terror-Free Turkey process because we know that the noble women and people of Şırnak are the ones who truly bear this oppression, who truly endure it, who have endured it for years. We say that no more lives should be lost during the Terror-Free Turkey process. Let our Terror-Free Turkey process begin, and in our new Turkish Century, God willing, there will be no more bloodshed in Gabar and Cudi, and the cries of joy of children will be heard. From now on, not only our ordinary engineers but also our female engineers and young girls will be drilling for oil in Gabar and contributing to the development of our country. Upholding the sacred memory of our martyrs and ensuring peace and tranquility prevails throughout our country is not just a goal for us, but a duty. This process, carried out under the leadership of our President, will, God willing, pave the way for a Türkiye that both cherishes the legacy of our martyrs and looks to the future with happiness. From now on, nothing will happen again. Let no mother's tears flow. Let no child burn with longing for their father. Let no spouse cry, wondering what to do now. Let the voice of brotherhood that has endured in these lands for centuries echo from the summit of Cudi. Let the language of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood once again prevail in these lands.

Ercan stated that women are the strongest guarantors of peace, tranquility and prosperity, and explained that with this belief and awareness, they strongly embrace the ideal of a Terror-Free Türkiye.

Ercan said, "We say a terror-free Turkey is possible with women because women are the voice of justice, the conscience of society, and the essence of the nation. Of course, for us, the women and men of this nation are the same, but we know that without the determination and patience of women, no victory will last. If women are strong, the family will be strong. If the family is strong, the nation will be strong. Let's join hands and protect our national and spiritual values, and work for stronger women, more peaceful families, and a more prosperous Türkiye."

AK Party Şırnak Deputy Arslan Tatar stated that the city is one of the provinces that embraces development and peace despite terrorism and thanked those who contributed to the program.

Tatar said, “If a mother educates her child to keep her safe from terrorism, if a woman doesn't surrender her home or neighborhood to terrorism, that struggle has been won. The most powerful cure for terrorism is a woman's hand, filled with love, knowledge, and hope. As the AK Party government, we are fighting the darkness to eradicate terrorism, but this struggle isn't just a struggle of security forces. It's a shared struggle of all segments of society. Our goal is a Şırnak free of terrorism, where young people pursue their dreams and women start businesses with confidence. Our goal is to build a Terror-Free Türkiye together with women.”

Şırnak Mayor Mehmet Yarka also stated that today they are witnessing the hope of a terror-free Türkiye shaped by the courage of women.

AK Party Provincial Women's Branch Chairwoman Bişenk Fatma Acar also gave a speech at the program.

The program was attended by AK Party Gaziantep Deputy Derya Bakbak, Interior Minister Advisor Hatice Atan, AK Party Headquarters Women's Branch Central Executive Committee members, AK Party Provincial Chairman İbrahim Halil Erkan, families of martyrs, party members and citizens.

Minister Bayraktar was a witness to the wedding

Following the program, Minister Bayraktar attended the wedding ceremony of Özkan Güngör and İdal Uras held in the Kumçatı town.

The couple, whose wedding was officiated by Şırnak Mayor Mehmet Yarka, were witnessed by Minister Bayraktar, Şırnak Governor Birol Ekici and AK Party Şırnak Deputy Arslan Tatar.

Minister Bayraktar congratulated the newlyweds, saying, "We witnessed the establishment of this beautiful home. Hopefully, it will continue to thrive. We congratulate the young people and wish them happiness."
